On Monday, I came to Dallas with my sister. It was a fun week! It was too late to do anything so we went to Target and got some stuff for the New Year's party. We got pizza ingredients and confetti poppers.
Tuesday, we went to the Dallas World Aquarium. It was super fun! My favorite part was the bats and sharks. Those sharks looked pretty hungry so I didn't want to scare them. I didn't know it was going to be that fun. We saw a bunch of pretty fish, monkeys, a waterfall, spiders, snakes, one lizard, vampire bats, and beautiful birds.

Next, we went to The Spaghetti Warehouse. Me and Fer Fer both got spaghetti. Our table was by a train car. The other tables looked like beds. We walked through downtown Dallas!!
Then we drove to the Reunion Tower, but it was closed. Too bad! So we went back home. That night we baked cookies for the second night in a row! :)
On Wednesday, we stayed in our pajamas most of the day. We got stuff ready for the New Year's Eve party. At night our friend Brooke came over. We had to go get more poppers so she wouldn't be left out. We played Apples to Apples and Jenga. I won Apples to Apples! I lost Jenga. I had ice cream. I like ice cream. Yummy! I started counting down the minutes till the giant ball in New York City dropped. We got to do one popper at 11:00. I tried to turn it, but I was too slow. Fer Fer opened it and it POPPED! I played with the confetti for a while. It was fun! At midnight we popped open all of them! Confetti went everywhere. I picked it up and threw it in the air. Happy New Year! This morning I slept in a little. I got to have hot chocolate. We are going to make pizza for lunch. Then I'm going home.
I'm going to miss Fer Fer.

I'm so glad I got to spend New Years Eve with you, Mitchell! (and with your sister too!!) Next time, I'm going to beat you at Apples to Apples!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the afternoon Mitchell continued to think of things that he left out of his post (snapping alligator, Wall-e, and Horton Hears a Who). The joy in his voice makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteIt's really quiet here now...
